Park County School District #1
Driven by Excellence

Food Services

Park County School District #1 provides healthy meal options every school day for breakfast and lunch. Students have the opportunity to make food selections from a variety of nutritious food offerings. We plan school menus based on The Wyoming School Nutrition Association policy and the USDA Child Nutrition Program.

Join Us for Lunch

We invite parents to come and enjoy eating lunch with their children. We only ask that you call the office and let us know you are coming so we can be sure to prepare enough food.

Fresh Fruit and Vegetables Program

All district elementary schools participate in the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP). The program was developed as a catalyst for change in the effort to combat childhood obesity by teaching healthful eating habits at a young age.

This program provides students with a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables daily throughout the school day with the exception of some short school weeks, holidays, and early release days. FFVP is an effective and creative way of introducing fresh fruits and vegetables as healthy snack options that students otherwise might not have the opportunity to sample.

FFVP Goals

  • Create healthier school environments by providing healthier food choices.
  • Expand the variety of fruits and vegetables children experience.
  • Increase fruit and vegetable consumption.
  • Make a difference in children’s diets to impact their present and future health.

Free and Reduced Price Meal Program

If you believe your family may qualify for free or reduced price meals, request a form from the district or school office, and complete it as directed. We accept applications at any time throughout the school year.
