Dear Parents,
Tomorrow is Halloween!
We are having our annual Parade of Costumes again this year. The parade will begin around 2:40 p.m. and will be brief and within our hallways. Parents may attend the parade and will be asked to view from the cafeteria.
· Halloween Costumes. Students are allowed to wear costumes during the day but we will ask them to leave masks and head coverings in their cubby until the parade.
· Face paint, etc. We also ask that students not wear face paint, etc., during the day.
· Blowup Costumes or LARGE costumes. Students can bring blowup/large costumes for the parade but they will not be allowed to wear them until the parade.
Also, please refer to your student’s teacher guidelines that may have been sent home by note, email, or REMIND.

Southside Parents, For our students that participated in Summer Reading, the Summer Reading Water Wars and Slip 'N Slide is postponed until Monday, September 16. The weather forecast changed to significantly cooler than what was predicted previously for this Thursday, including a chance of thunderstorms and rain. The forecast for Monday, September 16, looks much better. Thanks for your understanding!

Each month we are working one of the 8 Keys Of Excellence! One of students noted that this months key, Integrity, is how you act or behave "even when no one is watching!" Well, their teachers have been watching, and these students had Popcorn with the Principal because of their focus on integrity!
