Powell Middle School is implementing a new way to celebrate our students of excellence by celebrating Students of the Month. All of the core teachers from each grade level nominate a student and our electives teachers nominate a student from each grade level and students receive a certificate with an explanation of why they got the award. Powell Middle School has its first group of Principals' Paws-ative 100 winners today! What is the Principals' Paws-ative 100, you ask. It is the way teachers, paras, counselors, administrators, or kitchen staff recognize extraordinary citizenship within our school. When a student receives a 100 Card, they take it to the office where a number is drawn and given to the student. Then the students affix their name to the number on our Paws-ative 100 Board in the cafeteria. And much like Bingo, when a line of numbers is filled--we have winners! Way to go above and beyond, Cubs!

Powell Middle School students got a real treat today as the PHS concert group, Erocne, shared their amazing vocal talents with our students throughout their lunches today.
