PCSD#1 provides many of these supports through our social & emotional learning curriculum, school counselors, school psychologists, and school-based behavioral health partnerships.

The Student Health Center is a collaboration between One Health and Park County School District #1. The Student Health Center provides counseling services during school hours to the students of Park County School District #1 ages pre-kindergarten through 12th grade and their families.
This program is supported by a grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration through the Wyoming Project AWARE (Advancing Wellness and Resiliency in Education). To learn more about this program, please contact your school counselor or school social worker.

Counseling services are provided by a licensed counselor for a variety of issues such as behavioral concerns, depression, anxiety, ADHD, substance abuse, family changes, or grief and adjustments.
A parent or legal guardian must be present at the intake appointment. Parents are not required to attend subsequent appointments unless requested by the therapist.
The Student Health Center accepts private health insurance, Medicaid, and KidCare/CHIP.
Patients may be eligible for discounted fees based on household size and income on our sliding fee schedule. The sliding fee scale is available to patients who qualify based on their annual income and household size. Patients who earn up to 200% of the federal poverty line, which is $50,200 for a household of four, qualify for services on the sliding fee scale.
No child will be denied services based on ability to pay.
Student Health Center Coordinator
Lenore Pierson attended Rocky Mountain College where she studied Business Administration and Political Science, and was a three-sport athlete. Since graduating she has worked in the fields of nonprofit, health, and fitness. Last year, she moved to Powell to be close to family. She enjoys running, playing basketball, providing personal training and volunteering.
Amanda Gaskin, PCSW
School Based Therapist
Amanda Gaskin is a native of Montana who started her education at Northwest College before transitioning to the University of Montana to complete her undergraduate degree. After graduation, she relocated to Wyoming and worked in case management for several years before completing her graduate studies in social work at Walden University. She is passionate about outdoor activities and particularly enjoys running, hiking and biking.
